"I could ask you in a "MILL"ion ways To Be My Valentine"
This doesn't have a label, but it's identical in illustration style to others from Carrington in Chicago. Likely dating from the late 1920s/early 30s, it is quite large, and features a young couple in Victorian garb, the boy proffering a bouquet, and both in front of a water mill with a mechanical turning wheel, affixed by a metal pin. The boy and girl are on a pop-up image, and the whole effect is enchanting!
COLOR: Predominantly Red, teal, yellow and pink, with black, green and gold accents.
MATERIAL: Paper, glue, metal.
Front: see above
Inscription: "Mother and Dad from Elmer G."
MEASUREMENTS:
Height: 8 1/4 in. (21 cm)
Width: 6 3/4 in. (17.2 cm)
Base (unfolded): approx. 2 in. (5.1 cm)
CONDITION: Very good. There is one crease on the lower card at the front, but it's hidden behind the front image. There is a black dot on the front as well, but it's unclear whether it is there as part of the printing process or whether it happened later. There is an inscription in ink on the back, and some tape residue, but otherwise it's in great shape.
